“Hitachi Recruiting My Page” Terms of Use
Article 1 (Purpose)
These terms of use (hereinafter referred to as the “Terms of Use”) provide information on the methods of membership registration necessary for the use of the membership-based website, “Hitachi Recruiting My Page” (hereinafter referred to as this “Site”) of Hitachi, Ltd., and Hitachi Group Companies (hereinafter referred to collectively as “Hitachi”) intended for the purpose of providing information, etc., related to the 2025 new graduate recruitment, and stipulate the conditions of use and matters which members must comply with when using this Site.
Article 2 (Membership Registration)
1. Under the Terms of Use, “member” means any student enrolled at a college of technology, a four-year university, or graduate school (including a graduate) who wishes to apply for Hitachi and has registered as a member on this Site in accordance with the procedures stipulated by Hitachi and who has been accepted by Hitachi.
2. Any person who wishes to register as a member of this Site (hereinafter referred to as “Applicant”) shall apply by filling in the required fields of the application form on this Site and sending the information to Hitachi. The applicant shall be deemed to have reviewed, understood and agreed to all the Terms of Use including the provisions of the following items at the time of application.
(1) Hitachi shall manage the information of applicants and members provided when registering or using this Site.
(2) Applicants and members shall bear the costs of equipment, line charges and other expenses necessary for the membership registration and use of this Site.
(3) Hitachi may not accept the application if there are justifiable reasons, such as when the applicant violates or is likely to violate the Terms of Use.
Article 3 (Withdrawal of Membership)
During the period of use of this Site, members may cancel their membership registration of this Site and withdraw their membership through the specified procedures.
Article 4 (Handling of Personal Information)
Article 5 (Use of Statistical Information)
Hitachi may use the information obtained through this Site as statistical data for reference in future recruitment activities.
Article 6 (Use of Information by Members)
1. Members shall use all information provided through the use of this Site for the sole purpose of utilizing it for Hitachi's corporate research activities.
2. Members shall appropriately use and manage all information provided through the use of this Site.
Article 7 (Prohibitions for Members)
Members shall not engage in any of the following acts when using this Site.
(1) Register for membership with false information
(2) Disclose or let a third party use the member ID, etc., issued at the time of membership registration
(3) Use this Site or the information obtained through the use of this Site for commercial purposes or for purposes other than those specified in Article 6 by reproduction, sale, publication, or any other means
(4) Engage in acts that interfere or are likely to interfere with the operation of this Site
(5) Engage in acts that violate the property, honor, privacy, or other personality rights, etc., of Hitachi or third parties
(6) Engage in acts that violate the copyrights and other intellectual property rights of Hitachi or third parties
(7) Engage in criminal acts, acts that violate public order and morals, or other acts that violate laws and regulations, or are likely to do so
Article 8 (Cancellation of Membership Registration)
Hitachi may immediately cancel the membership for the use of this Site when a member engages in any of the acts in the preceding items or engages in acts that Hitachi deems inappropriate based on reasonable grounds or violates other terms under the Terms of Use without prior notice to the member.
Article 9 (Claim for Damages)
If Hitachi suffers direct or indirect damages as a result of a member's violation of the Terms of Use, Hitachi may claim compensation for such damage from the member.
Article 10 (Disclaimer)
Hitachi shall not be liable to any damages incurred by the member as a result of the cancellation of the membership registration pursuant to Article 8.
Article 11 (Resolution of Disputes, etc.)
In the event that a member causes damage to another member or a third party due to a violation of the Terms of Use or if a dispute arises from the use of this Site or information obtained through the use of this Site, the member concerned shall compensate for the damages at his/her own responsibility and expense, process and resolve the dispute, and shall not cause any inconvenience to Hitachi.
Article 12 (Changes and Suspension, etc., of this Site)
1. Hitachi may make changes to this Site and the information provided on this Site without prior notice to members. In this case, the content of the changes shall be announced on this site as necessary.
2. Hitachi may suspend the use of this Site in the event of natural disaster, other emergencies, or when such are likely to occur, or for other unavoidable reasons. In this case, except in case of emergency, the fact shall be announced on this Site in advance.
Article 13 (Changes to the Terms of Use)
1. Hitachi may change the Terms of Use without prior notice to members. In this case, the revised Terms of Use shall apply to the use of this Site.
2. In the case of the preceding paragraph, the revised Terms of Use shall be announced on this Site in advance or without delay after the change.
Article 14 (Period of Use, etc., of this Site)
The period of use of this Site is from March 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025 (planned). Members will not be able to use this site upon expiration of the period of use.
Article 15 (Priority Application)
If there are any provisions on this Site that are different from the Terms of Use, or if there are any provisions that are not described in the Terms of Use, those provisions shall prevail.
Article 16 (Agreed Jurisdiction)
In the event of any disputes relating to the Terms of Use or the use of this Site, the Tokyo District Court or the Tokyo Summary Court (claims not exceeding 1.4 million yen) shall be the agreed exclusive jurisdictional court of first instance.
Article 17 (Governing Law)
The construction, validity, performance and interpretation of the Terms of Use shall be governed by the laws of Japan.

<Supplementary Provision>
This Terms of Use shall be effective from March 1, 2024.
